The Feywild remembers when death did not stay buried.
"In this land, the forests grow over old graves and never forget what lies beneath. Roots knot around bones. Moonlight stirs the dead. Some souls do not pass on — they linger, hungry, half-remembering the warmth of breath. This is a Feywild of old stories, whispered before hearth-fires and carved into doorframes for protection. Here roam Nachzehrers, bloated corpse-spirits that gnaw their own shrouds and drink the life from sleeping villages. Revenants stalk moonlit paths, driven not by justice, but by promises broken and names stolen. Wills bind stronger than iron, and a grudge can outlast kingdoms.
The fey courts still rule — but they wear crowns of antler and thorn. They delight in bargains that rot from the inside. Hospitality is sacred, yet weaponized. Mercy is given sparingly, and always remembered.
Time still bends here, but decay bends faster. A feast may leave you hollow. A blessing may fester. A song may follow you home and sing from beneath your floorboards.
If you walk these woods, carry iron, salt, and silence. Do not eat what is offered without knowing its cost. And when the dead begin to whisper your name…
